Dr. Norman
R. Price was the last of the country doctors in Pocahontas County. Born in
1874, the son of Rev. William T. and Anna Randolph Price, he studied
medicine at University of Maryland Medical College. He practiced medicine
in Marlinton from 1903 until his death in 1965. A room on the second floor
of the museum is devoted almost entirely to his collection of medical
implements and other artifacts.
